Join a household and handle shared access
Follow the household invite flow when another person is bringing you into a shared Dolla setup.
What the invite flow does
The household invite flow connects your login to an existing shared financial workspace. It is different from creating a spending profile: every active login has equal household authority, while a spending profile can represent someone without a login.
Before accepting an invite
Sign in with the email address named by the invite. Dolla shows the destination, represented-member link, capacity impact, and whether your one-person workspace has history that must move. Review that disclosure, acknowledge any data migration, and type the displayed confirmation phrase. A recent sign-in is required before the join completes.
If your login already represented someone in this household, rejoining restores that historical identity instead of creating a duplicate. A represented member cannot be reassigned to a different login history.
After joining or leaving
Joining moves a one-person workspace into the shared workspace atomically. Its financial history becomes household history and remains there if you later leave. The other active logins are notified.
Before leaving, open Settings > Data > Export if you want a personal copy. Leaving or removal requires recent sign-in and typed confirmation. Your login then receives a new empty one-person workspace with no copy of the former history, and its former workspace API keys, MCP grants, bank connection identity, and in-flight jobs are revoked or stopped.
