Export transactions and net worth data
Use export tools when you need a backup, a spreadsheet workflow, or a sharable offline copy of your data.
What export is best for
Export is useful for backups, spreadsheet analysis, accounting handoff, and spot checks outside the app.
Before you export
Check the selected dataset, date range, spender scope, category, account, and any import-session filters so the downloaded file matches the question you are trying to answer.
When you filter by a parent category, the export includes that category and its child categories. Select all the categories you need, then choose Apply; Dolla uses those choices together instead of updating after each click.
Downloaded files leave Dolla's protected app environment. Store them somewhere you trust and be careful before sharing them, especially if they include transaction descriptions, account names, balances, or other financial details.
Export is not the same as correction import
Standard export gives you a copy of your data. The correction CSV workflow is a more controlled re-import path used to apply fixes back onto existing transactions.
Use the standard CSV or JSON export when you want analysis or an external backup. Use the correction CSV when you want to edit supported fields in a spreadsheet and then preview exact ledger updates before confirming them.
